1-800-GEOSPAN

OUR HISTORY

Is Geospan the most interesting company
you’ve never heard of?

It’s a fair question, since we’ve been around for more than 30 years. And what we do is pretty interesting to certain industries, including yours.

Little known fact: Geospan pioneered the field of Visual Graphic Information™.

Thirty years ago, we pioneered geospatial surveying. Simply put, we combined our proprietary software with aerial photography to map, survey and generate accurate measurements of parcels of land, among other information. You can see where that would be a big benefit to cities and local municipalities, for example, in determining accurate lot sizes and assessing fair taxes. And think of the time and cost savings for cities using our tool versus sending surveyors to each property.

In 1998, we started a surveying relationship with Boston, MA and have grown from there, working with Cook County, IL, Calgary, Canada and Google, among others. In 2016, we introduced GeoAssist™, giving governments an even more sophisticated tool to validate and update their property tax rolls.

Since then, we’ve taken a giant leap forward in our capabilities, up to and including detailed, 3D views of structures on commercial and residential properties, a boon to the roofing and construction industry, among others.

Now those businesses — and you — have access to these unique tools and all the support from our on-staff experts that comes with them.
